Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test - RTET

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) is compulsory for those candidates who want to get the job of a teacher in schools of Rajasthan state. The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan conducts the RTET examination every year.

Rajasthan TET Eligibility Criteria

As the exam is having two papers which are RTET Paper 1 and RTET Paper 2, therefore the eligibility criteria for both the exams are different.

The educational qualification for the candidates who will give Paper 1 are as follows:
  1. The candidate must pass the graduation with 50 % marks. Whereas in the case of reserved category, the minimum marks scored in the graduation is 45%.
  2. Applicants must possess the Diploma in Elementary Education. It must be 2 years diploma. Along with it, Bachelor of Education is also required.
The educational qualifications required for Paper 2 are as follows:
  1. Applicant must pass the senior secondary exam with minimum score of 50% marks.
  2. Candidates must possess the degree of B. Ed.

Rajasthan TET Exam Pattern

Both the paper-I and Paper-II have total 150 questions. Paper-I and Paper-II are of 150 marks each. In both the papers, each question carries 1 mark. In Paper-I, there are 5 sections. Whereas in the Paper-II, there are 4 sections. All the sections of Paper-I are compulsory. However, in Paper-II, sections of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and Language II are compulsory whereas the section of Mathematics/ Science and Social Science are optional.

  4. (a) For Mathematics and Science teacher:

    (b) For Social Studies/Social Science teacher:
    Social Science

    (c) For any other teacher: either (a) or (b)    
    Questions: 60 MCQs

Rajasthan TET Syllabus

  1. Paper-I Syllabus: To become teachers for classes I-V in Rajasthan primary school.
  2. Paper-II Syllabus: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Rajasthan upper primary school.
  3. Paper-I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.

  • Candidates need to visit the official webpage of the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan.
  • The link for the application process will be displayed on the home screen.
  • The link will redirect to a new page.
  • Candidates are expected to enter the correct details asked. If any details are found incorrect by the authority, it can directly lead to the form's rejection.
  • The login ID is generated for the candidates to fill the application form with all the correct and complete details.
  • The candidates got to transfer their icon and signature at functional areas and submit it.
  • Before continuing with the submission process, check the entered information.
  • After the successful submission of the application form, it is advised to take a printout for further reference.
