All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur

AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the 6 new AIIMS to be established in 2012 by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).

The main aim of setting up these new AIIMS was correcting of regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education.

AIIMS Jodhpur is situated at outskirts of city of Jodhpur. The foundation stone of AIIMS Jodhpur was laid on 31 January 2004, by the then Finance Minister Jaswant Singh. From 2013 onwards, AIIMS started admitting 100 MBBS and 60 B.Sc Nursing (Hons.) students.

Outdoor patient (OPD) services began at the AIIMS Jodhpur from July 27, 2013. AIIMS Jodhpur started its MD courses in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology and Community Medicine and Family Medicine departments from 2016.

MBBS Admission

The admission to AIIMS Jodhpur MBBS programme is offered on the basis of NEET (UG).

College of Nursing

The College of Nursing, AIIMS, Jodhpur was established to train and educate nursing students so that they can make a significant contribution in all branches of nursing. The College became a benchmark in field of Nursing Education in India. The first batch of B.Sc (Hons) Nursing started on 2nd September, 2013 with an intake of 60 students.
